Apologies peeps, for we’re a little tardy to the party with this one. This post was scheduled to auto-publish yesterday morning but that was before the system gremlins got hold of it.
Anyway, as you may well have seen, Dortmund lost 3-0 to relegation-threatened Hamburg in the Bundesliga on Saturday, with Hakan Calhanoglu completing the scoring in the 91st minute with an absolute monster of a free-kick from bloody miles out.
In fact, the Hamburg midfielder was so far out that Dortmund didn’t even bother forming the slightest semblance of a defensive wall – immediately regretting their slack approach when Calhanoglu UNLEASHED (possibly ever-so-slightly wind-assisted) HELL from 45-odd yards out!!!!
Better late than never, eh?
(Thanks to the several dozen Pies fans who tipped us off about this beastly strike on Twitter over the weekend)
