Henderson proudly displays the appendage that did all the damage
As crafty as you like, Nottingham Forest striker Darius Henderson snatched a point from the jaws of defeat just two minutes after coming on as a substitute by steering a magnificent, stooping near-post volley past Dimitrios Konstantopoulos to cancel out Middlesbrough’s 1-0 lead in the 81st minute.
The only problem being, really, that Henderson blatantly just biffed the ball across the line with his hand…
Nobby’s beautifully dispatched manual finish also brought to an end Boro’s impressive run of 11 hours and 54 minutes without conceding a goal at the Riverside – and in some style too.
What? Illegal is still a style.
