Despite the game being played on an absolute carpet of a pitch, a bad bounce meant that the recent Armenian second division tie between Alashkert and Shirak’s second-string sides was graced with a frankly hilarious own-goal scored by one of Shirak’s centre-halves.
With the Alashkert striker beating the ‘keeper to a loose ball and prodding a speculative looped shot toward the goal, the Shirak defender bust a gut to get back before it crossed the line, only for the bouncing ball to hit a large divot in the goalmouth and, well, see for yourself…
We feel for you buddy. We really do.
