Swansea City 0-1 Southampton – Premier League – 3rd May 2014

With nothing to play for from both side’s perspective, this game was a rather dull affair, with neither side creating too much in the opposition box. Most of the better passages of the play occurred before the break, with Pablo Hernandez and then Sam Gallagher going close. However, with the game heading towards a goalless draw, Swans’ defender Ashley Williams made a mess of a back-pass, leaving Rickie Lambert to score at the death.

The Saints stay eighth while Swansea are now 13th.
