Panama enjoyed an impressive if ultimately unsuccessful 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign, finishing fifth in the final CONCACAF group of six and so just missing out on a play-off place. However, at the Estadio Serra Dourada on Tuesday evening, the Central Americans were thrashed by an impressive Brazil side, with Neymar outstanding throughout.

The Barca man netted the opener with a superb free-kick, assisted the third (courtesy of an exquisite back-heeled assist) scored by Hulk then had a hand in Willian’s goal which made it 4-0.

Overall, it was an easy run out for the Brazilians but some of the play was trademark Brazilian which bodes well for the entertainment level when the real football begins.
