Colombia all but booked their place in the last 16 after coming out on top in an entertaining clash with the Ivory Coast. After a tight first-half which saw Colombia on top, the opening goal eventually came just after the hour-mark, courtesy of James Rodriguez’s header from a Juan Cuadrado corner.

A right mix up at the back involving Didier Zokora and Serey Die saw the South Americans double their advantage with Juan Quintero firing home. But just when the Ivory Coast looked dead and buried, Gervinho produced a superb solo goal to set up a dramatic end. However, Los Cafeteros held on and now look set to reach the last 16.
