There had been rumblings in the press and now footage has emerged appearing to show Cesc Fabregas being expelled from a Spain training session by coach Vicente Del Bosque yesterday afternoon.

Apparently Del Bosque was unimpressed by Fabregas’ ambivalent attitude during the session, first stripping him of his bib (indicating he was in the starting XI to play against Australia tomorrow) and giving it to Xabi Alonso before telling Chelsea’s new signing to take a hike.

Rather wonderfully, Cesc then quite literally gets on his bike and f**ks off back to the hotel…

Interesting.

For what it’s worth, Fabregas’ Spain teammate Raul Albiol has since played down the spat, telling the press:

“I haven’t seen anything strange. I guess it is just frustration from the team that we have been eliminated, nothing more.

“Obviously we were all desperate to qualify, Cesc as well, but I haven’t seen anything strange with regards to Cesc.”

Okay?
