With the Cameroon team having been well and truly eliminated from the World Cup after registering three straight defeats, it was all a bit glum as the ultimately really rather Domitable Lions squad prepared to fly back home.
On leaving their hotel to board the bus, a young Brazilian boy by the name of Pedro called Samuel Eto’o over and asked for a hug. It was at this point that things got a bit emotional…
Apparently 10-year-old Pedro had first met Eto’o outside the Cameroon hotel earlier in the tournament and, impressed with his support, the striker handed the lad the Cameroon shirt he’s wearing in the clip above – this being their final poignant goodbye.
