USA 0-1 Germany – World Cup Group G – 26th June 2014
Germany finished their Group G adventures with a deserved victory against the USA in a rain-sodden Recife. Thomas Muller was once again the scorer for the Germans, firing in a superb effort on 55 minutes in a game where the USA never troubled Manuel Neuer in the German goal.
However, despite the defeat, Jurgen Klinsmann’s side still progress to the last 16 after Portgual beat Ghana 2-1 in the other Group G game so it was all smiles at the end for Klinsmann and his mate Jogi Loew.
