We’re skipping back to last Friday night here so apologies for the tardiness, but we feel it’s our duty as concerned denizens of decent football to bring you the forlorn tale of Richard Zajac, overly-casual goalkeeper of Polish top-tier side TS Podbeskidzie.

With the ball at his feet and plenty of time to get rid of it, Zajac dithered and dallied and allowed himself to be closed down by Lechia Gdansk striker Maciej Makuszewski.

Zajac then attempted to nonchalantly lob a pass over the oncoming forward to one of his defenders, only to ponk the ball directly into Makuszewski’s face and into the back of the net…

It was to be the only goal of the game.

What a pillock.

    Zajac is Slovak.

Our league is so shit, its nothing new :)

  3. Jarren says:

Yes J, but for the sake of the headline it’s “Polish GK” (as in “goalkeeper from the Polish league”).

You know, instead of “Over-Casual Slovakian GK From Polish League Gets Short, Sharp Comeuppance”.

Which is a bit of a mouthful.

..Polish GK means “goalkeeper from the Polish league” ? So, Boruc is the British one :)
