Real Madrid Try Their Hands At This New ‘American Football’ Lark While Training At Eastern Michigan University (Video & Photos)

By Chris Wright

What with them training at Eastern Michigan University anyways, Real Madrid’s players took time out to indulge in the local pastime – this newfangled “American Football” lark – with Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner with mixed (we’re talking ‘average to poor’) results…

  1. John says:

It’s Michigan University. East Michigan is another uni.

    • Matt Daug says:

Yeah… I noticed that too. No way a school the size of Eastern Michigan could possibly host such a massive club, not to mention letting them and another huge club play at their stadium. This game could potentially set the record for attendance at a football (not American football) match in the United States.

P.s Bale’s headband and Ramos’ pulled up shorts are like sooooooo cuteee!!1

  2. Paul says:

    What’s Bale doing with 90′s Beckham’s hair?

  3. Nick says:

@John. Strange then that “Eastern Michigan” and “E” signs are seen about 5000 times in the video

  4. Grant says:

The confusion here is that Real are training at EMU’s training facilities, but are going to actually play a game at the Big House, the football stadium for the University of Michigan.

The reason for that is probably that UM didn’t want a circus around their hugely competitive football team, but the Big House is the best place to actually play the game since it’s a 100,000-seater stadium.

That’s why the video is from EMU, but the photos are from UofM.

Also, all the UofM football players are thinking is that Ramos and Bale are wearing short shorts and headbands like high school girls.

  5. Rob says:

How come Ramos didn’t go down? “There was contact, I’ve seen them given for less”

  6. The Ostrich says:

A year in Spain makes it mandatory that you grow your hair long and purchase a truck ton of headbands.
