A last-gasp Niko Krancjar free-kick salvaged a point for QPR against Stoke on Saturday.

The Potters opened the scoring after just 11 minutes then Peter Crouch set up the always dangerous Mame Biram Diouf and the visitors continued to threaten on the break. However, just before the break some poor defending by Mark Hughes’ men saw Steven Caulker head home the equaliser from a corner.

In the second period, Crouch scored early on and for the majority of the rest of the half, Stoke looked destined for all three points. But with the game almost over, Steve Sidwell fouled Kranjcar just outside the Stoke box. Croatian midfielder Kranjcar had been the Hoops best player on the day and he topped off a fine performance by curling home the free-kick superbly.

Harry Redknapp will be more happy with the point after his side looked like losing, but his expensively assembled squad will need to improve id they are to avoid the drop come May.
