Arguably the greatest player ever to wear the green shirt of Ireland, Liam Brady has made a name for himself as a straight-talking TV pundit who pulls no punches. And during RTE’s coverage ahead of the Republic’s 7-0 mauling of Gibraltar at the weekend, the former Arsenal and Juventus legend gave his views on Keane’s ‘warts and all’ autobiography.

Flanked by former Ireland captain, Kenny Cunningham, who is featured in Keane’s book, and another former Ireland international, Richard Sadlier, Brady questioned Keane’s professionalism over releasing the book when the enfant terrible of Irish football is the Boys In Green assistant coach.

If only the likes of Gary Lineker and co. were as entertaining!

You must be joking. That man is not fit to clean the boots of Roy Keane as a player.

  2. Alan Duffy says:

@david – really? Are you old enough to remember Brady in the 70s and 80s for Arsenal, Juventus, Inter Milan etc?

  3. Jarren says:

Er, Lineker has to be impartial as he’s the anchorman of the BBC’s Match Of The Day.

He can throw in the odd cheery Leicester thumbs up, but he’d be out the door in a flash if he talked trash about another player.

    Very bad comparison, Alan.

@Jarren – fair point – really meant Lineker’s guests on MOTD etc!
