Wales continued their impressive start to their Euro 2016 campaign on Monday night, albeit courtesy of a nervy home victory over Cyprus.

The hosts started the game superbly and were 2-0 up by the 23rd minute, with goals from David Cotterill and Hal Robson-Kanu putting Chris Coleman’s side in the driving seat. However, against the run of play the Cypriots got one back, when Vincent Laban’s lofted free-kick sailed over ‘keeper Wayne Hennessey and into the back of the Welsh net.

Things got worse for the Welsh when Andy King saw red just after the start of the second-half. However, the hosts stood firm and saw out the rest of the game to secure a vital three points which sees them stay top of Group B.
