Belgium 0-0 Wales – Euro 2016 Qualifiers – 16th November 2014

Wales produced a superb defensive display in Brussels to secure a precious draw against a much-fancied Belgian side.

The hosts went close in the first-half, with Nicolas Lombaerts hitting the frame of the goal. However, Wayne Hennessey was outstanding for the Welsh between the sticks, making a number of superb saves. After the break, the visitors came close to scoring themselves, with Gareth Bale going close. However, despite Belgian pressure which saw sub Christian Benteke go close late on, the game would end goalless, thus giving Chris Coleman’s side a fantastic point.

Wales stay top of Group B, with eight points from four games. Belgium drop to fourth, with five points from their three fixtures.
