Hull City 0-0 West Bromwich Albion – Premier League – 6th December 2014

Hull dropped into the bottom three after playing out a rather turgid goalless draw with West Brom on Saturday.

The hosts had ‘keeper Allan McGregor to thank for a penalty save on nine minutes from Graham Dorrans, after Victor Anichebe had been felled in the box by Jake Livermore. But at the other end of the pitch, the Tigers struggled to find a cutting edge, although Stephen Quinn did have a good chance to open the scoring just before the hour-mark. The Baggies did create a few chances, but both Craig Gardner and substitute Silvestre Varela couldn’t beat the impressive McGregor.

While Hull go 18th, Alan Irvine’s West Brom are 16th, just a point above the relegation zone.
