Leicester City 0-1 Crystal Palace – Premier League – 7th February 2015
Alan Pardew’s fine start to his stint as Palace boss continued with a hard-fought win at the King Power Stadium.
The hosts started brightly but couldn’t make their dominance pay, with Riyad Mahrez going close before David Nugent hit the woodwork with a header. However, after the break, the Palace improved with sub Yaya Sanogo injecting some energy up front. Then, on 55 minutes, midfielder Joe Ledley made the breakthough, heading home from a corner to put Pardew’s men ahead. The Foxes still created more chances, with Paul Konchesky and Jamie Vardy going close. But in the end, Nigel Pearson’s strugglers would lose yet again.
Leicester stay bottom on 17 points, three points away from safety while Pardew’s resurgent Palace go 13th, six points above the drop-zone.
