It’s quite possibly the last thing his enormo-ego needed, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic was bestowed with a life-size waxwork model of himself at the Musée Grévin in Paris last night, with the PSG striker toddling along to unveil contemporary art’s latest masterpiece.

He looked incredibly pleased with the results…

Ibrahimovic also heralded the wax tribute on Instagram, posting a photo of himself and the dummy along with the typically Zlatan-esque caption: “The one to the right is made of wax and the one to the left is made of steel.”

Chatting away to local radio station RMC Sport at the unveiling, the 33-year-old continued:

“It’s an incredible feeling to get a statue at the Musée Grévin.

“The statue looks very focused, just like myself out there on the pitch.

“I can only be grateful for the fantastic job done. I am very proud to get this sort of recognition, especially as a Swede.

“It’s a big honour to have a statue in a great museum like the Grevin.

“I am very happy with it. The people can get really close to the statue and that was the objective.

“The next step? I don’t know… Maybe replacing the Eiffel Tower with an Ibrahimovic statue?”

Something tells us it’s only a matter of time.

Fear not. Though it may appear two Zlatan waxworks have been produced – one in his PSG kit, one in his skivvies; one for the museum, one presumably to greet guests in the entrance hall of Zlatan’s house – that is, in fact, just a mirror he’s standing next to in the first picture…
