Scottish Championship leaders Hearts tore second-from-bottom Cowdenbeath apart at Tynecastle, with their 10 goals inflicting on the Miners their joint-heaviest defeat in the club’s history.
It took until the 26th minute for the first goal, which came courtesy of a spot-kick, while the sending off of Lewis Toshney, with the score already 2-0, sealed the visitors’ fate.
Here’s a handy list of the goalscorers…
Genero Zeefuik 26′ (pen), 27′, 29′ (pen)
Sam Nicholson 33′
Jamie Walker 39′
Morgaro Gomis 57′ (pen)
Alim Ozturk 61′
Danny Wilson 68′
Osman Sow 70′, 7
Still, the Jambos apparently still fell some way short of their record victory: a whopping 21-0 win against Anchor in 1880.
Must do better, lads!
