It’s no secret that all is not particularly rosey in the Real Madrid garden at the moment, with a supposed crisis in full swing (heaven help the rest of us) and supporters beginning to bitch and moan about the team being through the Champions League quarter-finals and a full one point off the top of La Liga.
Oh, woe is them.
Indeed, after an attacking move broke down during Sunday’s game against Levante (a 2-0 victory, it should be pointed out), the jeering and whistling began again.
Cristiano Ronaldo, obviously irked by the brattish behaviour on display among the Bernabeu crowd, appeared to mouth “Foda se” in their general direction – the phrase being a Portuguese expression which translates as “go f**k yourself/selves”.
Well within his rights, we’d suggest.
293 goals in 285 games is obviously not good enough for some people.
*Sigh*
Suppose that’s one of the few down sides to playing for Real Madrid: being lumbered with the most toxic, spoiled and overindulged “fans” in world football.
