In scenes similar to those at Borussia Dortmund earlier this season, Roma players spoke to their fans at the Stadio Olimpico after a shocking 3-0 home defeat to Fiorentina in the Europa League.
Manager Rudi Garcia’s magic has deserted him this season, with the Giallorossi’s penchant for draws stifling their Serie A title hopes. Already a whopping 14 points behind leaders Juventus in the league, Roma’s fans were hoping for an decent run in the Europa League. However, despite securing a 1-1 draw in the first leg away to compatriots Fiorentina, the Italian giants suffered a first-half capitulation in Rome on Thursday night, shipping three goals before the break.
That first-45 shocker saw a section of the home support walk out at the break in protest, while after the game (which ended 3-0 and with Adam Llajic sent off), the Roma players walked over to the Curva Sud to chat with their disgruntled fans…
