Making a right tit of himself (sorry, we couldn’t help ourselves), here’s Brest goalkeeper Johan Hartock combining with his defence to score a brilliant, multi-stage own goal against Troyes in Ligue 2 on Friday evening.
Faced with a slow if slightly awkward lobbed back-pass, Hartock reacted ridiculously late, allowing the ball to bounce clear over his head.
Then, suddenly realising it was a back-pass and that he was unable to handle it (in more ways that one), the panicky ‘keeper instead opted to merely steer the bobbling ball across the goal-line himself as he flailed at it with his feet…

The good news is that Brest went on to win the game 2-1 in spite of themselves.
