It would appear that Al Pacino has been seriously getting into the Copa America these past few weeks, with the veteran actor even feeling compelled to record a special video message for the Argentina squad going into their semi-final against Paraguay.
Pacino revealed that he’d been turned on to the Copa by his Argentinian girlfriend Lucila Sola, and that he’s swiftly fallen in love with the way Lionel Messi and company have gone about their business during the tournament so far.
“I love the way they play,” Pacino enthused in the message, posted on the official Copa America website.
“I have just seen you play again, yet again and I love the way you play. I get excited along with my wonderful girlfriend Lucila.
“I am very excited to even be talking with you, it’s thrilling for me to talk to you and to let you know how wonderful and great you are as players.
“I get really happy when I see you play; it’s always a pleasure for me.
“I don’t know you as people so I don’t want to say how great you are as people, but as players, I love you”
