While the European elite were slugging it out in the Champions League last 16 ties, one former Euro heavyweight, Leeds United, were hosting Fulham in the Championship. And in 18-year-old Lewis Cook, United may well have a player destined for the very top, with the gifted 19-year-old netting a magnificent long-range effort.

With the hosts 1-0 down courtesy of a fine volley from ex-Whites youth player Tom Cairney, another homegrown Leeds starlet equalised, with Cook producing a superb long-range effort which was his first league goal of the campaign…

The game would ultimately end in a 1-1 draw, a result which sees both sides stay in mid-table. As for Cook, the likelihood is that the young midfielder will ultimately leave Elland Road in the summer, with a host of clubs interested in the talented teen.
