Alan Stubb’s Hibernian side won their first Scottish Cup since 1902 on Saturday, after a pulsating clash with Rangers saw the Hibees come out 3-2 winners.
Anthony Stokes, on loan from Celtic of all sides, bagged a brace for Hibs while Kenny Miller and Andy Halliday netted for Rangers, leaving the game all square as extra-time beckoned. However, a last-gasp injury-time winner from David Gray ended Hibernian’s 112-year wait for Scottish Cup glory.
While the end of the game was marred by some pretty serious (and utterly ridiculous) crowd trouble, with fans fighting on the pitch and a couple of broken crossbars, the rendition of club anthem ‘Sunshine on Leith’ by the Hibernian fans was a wonderful, and more apt, way to mark the occasion…
Wow. Incredible rendition of Sunshine on Leith from the Hibs fans. Sky Sports 1. https://t.co/45a0SGb5EJ
