Despite losing his day job recently as assistant coach at KR Reykjavík, Gudmundur Benediktsson was once again at his effervescent best during Iceland’s momentous victory against England on Monday night.

With the scores at 1-1, Kolbeinn Sigthorsson fired home an historic winner (thanks to a feeble effort at a safe from Joe Hart). Cue another high-pitched orgasmic response from the magnificent Benediktsson…

Wonderful stuff. We’re just impressed he hadn’t lost his voice after his Austrian performance.

And can we start a petition to get the great Gudmundur to replace Clive Tyldesley on ITV?

My gosh, Joe Hart couldn’t catch a beach ball.

    Congratulations Iceland, well done.

Alan – The guy should definitely get a job commentating! I would enjoy listening to him.
    C Boy – Thumbs up.

  3. Geraldo says:

You could probably get Ivy Tyldesley to replace Clive Tyldesley on ITV. His latest pearl of wisdom came just as they kicked off last night…”England SHOULD beat Iceland. HOW do they beat Iceland?”

By scoring more goals than Iceland…?
