No stranger to controversy, PSG full-back Serge Aurier was at it again during Ivory Coast’s 3-1 World Cup qualifying win against Mali. After seeing his cross converted via an own-goal from Salif Coulibaly, the 23-year-old defender ran towards his own fans before making a throat-slitting gesture.

Aurier found himself in big trouble with PSG last season after publicly criticising his then manager Laurent Blanc during a live Periscope chat, with the former Toulouse player copping a suspension from the Ligue 1 giants.

More recently, Aurier received a two-month jail sentence for elbowing a policeman in a nightclub, although that was commuted. However, now the loon’s bad-taste goal celebration has put him back in the spotlight…

We’re not sure what he’s trying to convey with the throat-slitting celebration but let’s hope it doesn’t catch on!
