In a clash between two of the Polish top-tiers’ struggling side on Saturday, Wisła Płock lost 2-1 at home to Górnik Łęczna.
However the hosts should’ve scored at least one more goal, only for attacking midfielder Giorgi Merebashvili to register one of the worst misses of the season so far.
After rounding the goalkeeper, Georgian schemer Merebashvili just seven yards out with the goal at his mercy.
Somehow, the Wisla Plock star shanked his left-footed effort wide of the post…
That horror miss would prove crucial in the Ekstraklasa clash, with an own-goal from Wisla goalkeeper Seweryn Kielpin eventually handing Łęczna the victory.
Ouch!
