Still yet to make its mark on the global game despite a rather sizable 1.3billion population, Indian football still does have it moments, with one of them coming during their AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Kyrgyzstan.

Legendary striker Sunil Chhetri was the goal-hero for the Blue Tigers, netting a cracking solo goal after a pitch-length run.

The goal came on 69 minutes, with the game goalless. Picking up the ball just outside his own box, the 32-year-old record Indian goalscorer embarking on a magnificent dribble up the pitch, before exchanging passes with Jeje Lalpekhlua.

Chhetri duly topped the move off with a lovely half-volleyed finish to secure a precious win for his side.

Lovely stuff!

The win sees India go top of Group A with two games played.
