Giresunspor went crashing out of the Turkish Cup on Wednesday night after losing out to Fenerbahce in a dramatic finale.
The second division side hauled themselves level at 1-1 in the 73rd minute only for a stoppage-time penalty from Fernandao to send them packing with mere seconds left on the clock.
However, it’s not like Giresunspor didn’t squander opportunities, with Brazilian midfielder Dodo living up to his moniker by flunking a spot-kick of his very own in the second half.
And my-oh-my did he miss it in style…

Absolutely atrocious.
Football fans of a certain vintage will no doubt be instantly put in mind of the great Peter Devine, formerly of Lancaster City and, perhaps more prevalently, Nick Hancock’s Football Nightmares…
Never gets old… or good.
