While Manchester United were handing the Premier League title to Manchester City on Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain were winning the Ligue 1 title for themselves, courtesy of a scintillating 7-1 demolition of Monaco at the Parc des Princes.
The hosts utterly pulverised defending champions Monaco, with the Argentine duo of Giovani lo Celso and Angel Di Maria both netting a brace and Edinson Cavani and Julian Draxler also getting on the scoresheet.
An own-goal from Radamel Falcao made it seven for the Parisian giants, with Rony Lopes getting Monaco’s consolation goal.

The emphatic win sees PSG go a whopping 17 points clear of second-placed Monaco, a side who saw the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva, Tiémoué Bakayoko and Benjamin Mendy all leave in the summer.
PSG have won five of the last six Ligue 1 titles, with their domestic dominance and financial muscle looking like keeping them on top for many years to come.
However, their failure to win a Champions League title may well see manager Unai Emery depart in the summer.
