Cork City kept themselves within two points of the top of the League of Ireland Premier Division with a 3-1 away win over St Patrick’s on Friday evening.

With stoppage time wicking away and his side already 2-1 up, the cherry was strewn atop the cake of victory in the 94th minute when winger Kieran Sadlier managed to score Cork’s third goal of the evening from inside his own half…

The club’s official Twitter account actually did Sadlier a bit of a disservice in their live update, as it transpired the 23-year-old had actually scored from INSIDE HIS OWN 18-YARD BOX…

Love the crescendo of crowd noise there – from initial polite applause for a last-gasp clearance, then everybody gradually twigging that it might actually go in, through to full-blown goal celebration!
