Partick Thistle beat Greenock Morton in the Scottish Championship on Saturday afternoon, with a single goal from Chris Erskine proving the difference betwixt the two sides at Firhill.
However, Partick’s winning margin might have been a little more convincing had referee Barry Cook decided not to disallow this perfectly viable effort from Kris Doolan.

After some deliberation, the official disallowed Doolan’s strike on the grounds that it hadn’t crossed Greenock’s goalline, despite the ball visibly rippling the net.
Perplexing, but sadly not at all out of step with the general quality of refereeing north of the border at the moment.
Worst of all, referee Barry went and got Kingsley angry, and he’s already bloody incensed to begin with…
