Following in the footsteps of ‘Gordon’s Wooden Bow Tie‘ comes another true classic of the football-phone-in-gone-delightfully-awry genre.

Here we join Mark ‘Chappers’ Chapman and Robbie Savage discussing the excesses of wealthy Premier League gadabouts, and the wanton frivolity with which they live their lives.

The fun really begins when Dave from Wilmslow rings in to confront Savage with allegations that he was spotted buying no less than SEVEN pairs of trainers from a shop in the local area…

“DON’T SAY I BOUGHT SEVEN PAIRS OF TRAINERS AND MADE A CHILD CARRY THEM OUT!” – a quote for the ages. Savage laid bare. The whinnying dipstick in all his naked stupidity.

“I SWEAR ON MY MOTHER AND FATHER’S LIFE.”

Has ‘Sav’ really come on as a pundit since then? He may be a *little* more reserved than he used to be, but fundamentally he’s still a gobby prat with an Armani tattoo.

    I’m still not 100% sure if :-

    (a) Robbie Savage did buy 7 pairs of trainers and made a child carry them to his car;
    (b) some other flash git did, but the caller mistook them for RS
    (c) the caller made it all up and trolled RS so much that his voice went up 2 octaves
