Andorra goalkeeper Josep Gomes endured another bad day at the office after gifting Albania their opening goal with a hilariously bad attempted clearance.
The 33-year-old is used to fishing the ball out of the net – Andorra are second only to San Marino as Europe’s chief whipping boys – but Albania’s opening goal in their Euro 2020 qualifier will have hurt more than most.
Rushing out of his goal to deal with a loose ball, Gomes attempted to clear the ball away with an acrobatic flying kick.
It didn’t go to plan though, with the stopper’s woeful hoof spinning comically off his foot and straight into the path of Armando Siduku.
Is this the worst goalkeeper clearance ever? 🙈
Andorra’s number one Josep Gomes had a horrendous moment to forget as his attempt at a clearance was woefully executed, allowing Albania to take the lead. 😳 pic.twitter.com/YakhFOU06C

Siduku was only too happy to oblige, scoring to ease Albania on their way to a 3-0 win.
It had been going so well too, with Andorra holding their own against an Albania side that would only double their lead in the 87th minute, before adding a third in injury time.
