It’s Teddy Sheringham’s 52nd birthday today so to celebrate Pies thought we’d revisit the Shezzler’s finest career achievement.
No, not the two goals against Holland. No, not that balmy night in Barcelona. We are of course talking about the 2012 Soccer Aid match during which Sheringham absolutely poleaxed loud chef Gordon Ramsey with a superbly unnecessary bodying.
Sheringham’s airborne barge left Ramsey writhing in agony and ultimately having to be stretchered from the pitch on a spinal board while being administered gas and air.
