Video: The Impossible Match – Athletico Bilbao Vs 200 Children
By Chris Wright
Athletic Bilbao held a charity game on Monday night to say farewell to long-serving winger Joseba Etxeberria, who is leaving the Basque club after 15 years of service.
In an interesting twist on a testimonial game, Bilbao took on a team made up of 200 local kids (a different 100 children took part in each half) at the San Mames stadium. Sound familiar?
Despite taking an early lead, the swarm of children were eventually edged out 5-3 by the overly competitive Dads Etxeberria’s side, despite the youngsters choosing to field three goalkeepers in each half.

6:11 to 6:45 is amazing. How do you decide in a team of a 100 who gets to the take the penalty.
On a side note, was there only one ref? There should have been at least 50.
Uhm, at some points I had difficulties seeing the ball (oeps)
