Joao Felix became the youngest player to score a hat-trick in the Europa League on Wednesday night as Benfica beat Eintracht Frankfurt 4-2 in the first leg of their quarter-final.

Aged just 19 years and 152 days, Felix jumped to the head of the hat-trick list – a list containing the likes of Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku and Paco Alcacer – when he wrapped things up by scoring Benfica’s fourth and final goal in the 54th minute.

The first was a confident penalty but the second was something a little special…

And Felix’s third was bordering on impudence from a player barely out of adolescence…

Felix also has 15 goals in 36 appearances for Benfica so far this season, including 10 in the Primeira Liga. No wonder he’s already got a €120million release clause bolted onto his contract.

Definitely one to keep a beady eye on.
