Video: Roma Defender Philippe Mexes Goes Nuts After Red Card v Brescia

More abysmal refereeing in Serie A…

It takes several Roma players to contain the fury of Mexes, but you can see why the French defender was so angry. Firstly, the challenge was outside the box (just), second the assistant referee kept his flag down, third it looked like Mexes got the ball cleanly. Oh, and there was also a strong whiff of offside about it.

Claudio Ranieri’s Roma went on to lose the match 2-1, a result that leaves them in the relegation zone, with just two points from four games.

    hindsight (and slomo replays) are a wonderful thing. Not sure i would call that abysmal given the split second it happened in. have seen way worse in prem

    total overreaction and unprofessionalism from the player
