Ten-man AC narrowly clinched Sunday’s Milan derby courtesy of a Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalty, with the Swede both winning and dispatching the fifth-minute spotkick after being brought down in the area by the trailing leg of Inter’s resident nutcase Marco Materazzi.
Later in the game, Zlatan to it upon himself to exact sweet revenge on Materazzi for the years of crunching tackles he was subjected to whilst he was still at Juventus, by attempting to ram his foot through the defender’s chest cavity and – although the actual contact didn’t seem to be all that substantial – ‘The Matrix’ was still carted off to hospital as a result…
…for a man with Materazzi’s nefarious record, I’d wager that that was the best advert for karmic retribution I’ve seen in a long time – but it’s still a bit of a mis-timed horror from the increasingly tool-ish Rossoneri striker.
More recent Zlatan madness:
Ibra really is the gift that keeps on giving.
