Almost an exact calendar year after the near-fatal shooting took place, Cabanas has miraculously taken to the field again – training with Paraguayan club Libertad with the bullet still lodged deep in the back of his brain…
Amazing, in the truest sense of the word…amazing.
At the time of the shooting, it was unsure if Cabanas was even going to survive until the morning, let alone recover to live anything approaching a ‘normal’ life.
Maybe Benni McCarthy should take some pointers.
