Chile Player Smacks Himself In Face … With Opponent’s Hand (Video)
By Herman Miller
In an Under-20 World Cup qualifier between Chile and Ecuador, Chile’s Bryan Carrasco smacked himself in the face using an opponent’s hand.
Chile were losing 1-0 at the time, and Carrasco apparently wanted to tip the scales in his team’s favour by getting one of the Ecuador players sent off. Evil genius!
But Carrasco’s brilliant plan didn’t come together. Justice was done as Ecuador held on to win (and qualify for the U20 World Cup), and no red card was shown.
Thanks to Pies reader Dennis Prinsen for the spot.
