Jose Mourinho Plays In Goal Against Spanish Media XI (Video)
By Chris Wright
With the lion’s share of his squad away on international duty this week, Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho found time to don his goalkeeping gloves and take to the field in a friendly game that saw a team made up of Madrid’s coaching staff take on a side assembled by various members of the Spanish press…
According to a ‘match report’ which was run in AS the following day, although Mourinho (who’s father Felix won one cap for Portugal as a goalkeeper back in 1972) made a few decent saves, he couldn’t prevent his natural born enemies in the press XI from eventually running out as 3-2 victors.
Seeing as thought the game was staged at Madrid’s training HQ, does that mean that – technically speaking – Mourinho’s nine-year unbeaten home streak has now been broken?
