Retro Football: Stephen Fry & Hugh Laurie’s Diving Tutorial (Video)

By Chris Wright

The ‘Bit of Fry and Laurie’ boxset has obviously been doing the rounds at <insert relevant football academy here> over the past couple of years.

This classic clip in which Jeeves and House teach a gaggle of youngsters all about the delicate art of simulation seems to be circulating again of late, thanks to a re-post over on the BBC Comedy site a few days ago – and why not? It’s really rather mirthsome…

“…and roll, and roll, okay?”

Not very interesting sidenote: My old Sunday league manager used to have the exact same Umbro coat that Hugh Laurie is sporting in that video.

Memories.

Educational! And makes me wonder if Mourinho re-watched all the classic Jose Arrogantio/Didier Peskovitch sketches on Harry & Paul prior to HIS recent interviews…
