Taking the wee-wee out of the very sport that you’re attempting to advertise? Perhaps not the smartest of campaigns from ESPN’s SportsCentre team – at least it’s hil-a-rious

Yeah John, get up.

  1. This kind of advertises are always very good :D

  2. Nick says:

Hahaha you are an idiot if you do not think this is funny. This happens in every single game in modern football and everyone should be able to laugh at this. Stop being so defensive and see the humour in it, Chris.

  3. georgio says:

youre assuming theyre saying that football is for wimps because its an american advert. theyre just taking the piss out of something that happens in the sport. like having sex with prostitutes in golf.

  4. Chris says:

I was expecting something incredibly patronizing but I see absolutely nothing wrong with this – it’s brilliant!

  5. Chris says:

btw – You should check out the Landon Donovan one that shows up after this clip is done – EVEN BETTER! I’m still laughing…

  6. Murray says:

I won’t lie. ESPN’s advertisers come up with some good US Soccer-related commercials.

  7. ben says:

boring shit how can americans say a thing when all of there games are played covered in padding yea players are getting more bitchy but that advert was just poor american humor.

  8. Hasselhof says:

Maybe you would prefer if it had some more ‘Yakaty Sax’ and staring Benny Hill, or maybe even Rowan Atkinson. You know, that world famous British humour.

    lighten up butter cup.

  9. wiggs says:

I don’t particularly care who made it, I just think it’s a shite advert. Somebody at ESPN got paid to think that one up, for Christ’s sake!

(And a big fat “LOL” has to go towards Hasselhof for the shamefully random Benny Hill and Rowan Atkinson references. Although I do fear you may be stuck in a time warp. That Richard O’Brien can be a pain in the arse…)

  10. theredflag says:

    ESPN adverts are fucking legit.

  11. Jose says:

I didn’t even realize there was a Women’s World Cup till I saw this followed another ad for the US team…of course I LOL’d

  12. Montesquieu says:

    Lighten up.

  13. Ty says:

Wambach should have put her foot through his face. That would have made for a good advert.
