Remember Bruna? The Equitorial Guinea Women defender who got away scot-free despite having caught the ball in the middle of a crowded penalty area against Australia a couple of days ago?
Let’s face it, who could forget? Anyway, during Guinea’s game against Brazil yesterday, Bruna once again lent further credence to the theory that she has absolutely no clue what she’s doing – taking her instructions to (wo)man-mark Marta a little too literally…
Bruna then set about cementing her position as the worst player at the tournament by scything down Marta in the area as the game entered it’s final few seconds, thus allowing Cristiane to score her second and Brazil’s third unanswered goal of the evening.

ok, she may very well be the worst player in the tournament, but that Marta is a pretty damn good player and in all fairness the tactic of literally (Wo)-man marking her is very good in principle………….though Bruna really shouldnt be the one doing it!!

according to wikipedia Bruna plays in Brazil and is probably one of the players who got naturalized to play for e. guinea, so she probably understands portuguese.
