Six More Exceptional Goals From Around The World (Videos)
By Chris Wright
Another sextuplet of exceptional goals from around the globe for you to wade through (as always, you’re going to have to be quick with a few of them – the Youtube police are lurking)…
1. Cristiano Ronaldo, REAL MADRID vs Hertha Berlin
The one in every ten that doesn’t just crash into the wall or balloon into the upper tier…
2. Nicolas Gaitan, BENFICA vs Trabsonspor
‘T.C’ stands for ‘top corner’ (10 points if you get that ridiculously obscure 1990′s reference)…
3. Lucas, SAO PAULO vs Cortiba
Perfect lob (@ 4:30 mark)…
4. Paul Pogba, Fleetwood vs MAN UTD XI
Crap footage, sweet strike…
5. Jamie O’Hara, Celtic vs WOLVES
More set-piece finesse…
6. Daniel Sturridge, Kitchee vs CHELSEA
Swivel and fire (@ 4:53 mark)…

Georginio Wijnaldum for PSV agianst Forest. (25sec)
Did anyone else notice that one of Lucas’ teammates literally jumps over him as he celebrates his goal?
@Dennis: I actually went to that game last night and I could’ve sworn it was deflected – turns out it was just a great hit!
Forest were so well and truly outclassed that it was actually a little bit depressing.
The Sturridge goal is at 3:23…not what you said as that is the end of the video ;)
Was TC a reference to Space Above and Beyond ?
no its a reference to top cat surely
@Elim and Garms: Nope, both wrong. It’s far more obscure, but definitely football related.
It’s actually from a VHS I had called ‘Netbusters’, which came free with either Match or Shoot magazine and had a segment teaching kids how to ‘bust the net’ by hitting the ‘T.C’.
I honestly think that may have been the one and only copy.
Old school Match magazine was quality. I can unfortunately remember when it was around 70p and for some reason they were obsessed with Peter Fear.
