Barcelona 5-0 Napoli: Fabregas Scores First Barca Goal, Cavani Sees Outrageous Overhead Kick Disallowed (Videos)

By Chris Wright

Barcelona beat Napoli 5-0 to win their 36th (out of 46) Joan Gamper Trophy at the Camp Nou last night, a match that saw Cesc Fabregas notch his first goal in blaugrana after starting up front in Leo Messi’s ‘false 9′ position – duly opening the scoring by nudging home Adriano’s cross…

Seydou Keita and Pedro then added their names to the scoresheet, before Lionel Messi padded out the rout with a late brace after coming on as a second-half substitute in the 57th minute.

As well as sticking five past Morgan De Sanctis, Barca also managed to hit the woodwork three times in the space of minute, with Pedro guilty of supplying ⅔ of the stantion-spanking action…

Napoli were well and truly bested, though the Italian’s should have opened the scoring when Edinson Cavani’s incredible overhead kick was wrongly ruled out for offside…
