Flamengo’s Junior Cesar Attempts To Derail Penalty With Cunning Sock Fiddle (Video)

By Chris Wright

With Flamengo coming into the game on the back of a ten-game winless slump, defender Junior Cesar attempted a bit of sock-based jiggery-pokey to try and prevent America Mineiro from taking early lead from the penalty spot on Wednesday evening.

Sadly, it didn’t work…

‘Desperate times’ and all that jazz.

Saying that, Flamengo did manage to turn it around and win the game 2-1 in the end. How much of that was down to Cesar’s pre-penalty hosiery-hijinks is debatable.
