Cristiano Ronaldo & Atletico Madrid President Enrique Cerezo Make Awkward Dinner Guests (Video)

By Chris Wright

Say what you like about Cristiano Ronaldo but the guy actually takes the fact that he tends to end every game with bloodied, knackered ankles rather well all things considered.

Saturday’s Madrid derby, which Real won 4-1, was one of those occasions as Atletico ended the evening with two red cards and five yellows against their name while Ronaldo and several of his teammates endured what’s known in technical terminology as ‘a battering’.

As luck should have it, Ron had the chance to quiz Atletico’s president Enrique Cerezo about his side’s conduct when an entirely coincidental seating plan saw the pair join one another for lunch at the AS Awards yesterday.

Cristiano opened the conversation, but only after cleaving Cerezo’s soul in twain with an ice-cold, daggers-from-the-eyes Paddington stare…

Ronaldo and Cerezo. There’s an episode of ‘Come Dine With Me’ I’d happily sit through.

”You’re talking about the best in the world.”

He rightly defended his teammates. I’ve seen him throw fits at games, but I haven’t seen him genuinely pissed off like that before. Haha

  2. er says:

    Marcelo ?

    Best in the world ?

    Well … lol.

  3. kopred says:

Quality. Oh what i’d give to be sat on that table.

  4. […] You could cut the atmosphere with a knife. For some reason the people dealing the seating arrangements at the AS Awards thought it would be a good idea to put Cristiano Ronaldo on the same table as Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo. Needless to say they didn’t get on. Spotted on the always amusing Who Ate All The Pies. […]

  5. Nick says:

I’ll admit that those group of 4 have there fair share of nasty tackles, but never really 2 reds and 5 yellows in one game nasty.
